DO I HAVE TO DRIVE THE BOAT? No, all trips are run with a USCG licensed Captain to navigate the vessel safely and allow all onboard to sit back and relax and enjoy the ride!!! This is a good thing, you won’t risk a BUI!

DO I NEED I.D. TO DRINK? Yes, We do card everyone that is drinking. So make sure you have a valid ID!

WHAT IS PROHIBITED YOU ASK? For starters, Guns, knives or any other kind of weapon. Secondly, illegal substances, ie drugs without prescriptions or any other narcotics that is a controlled/illegal.

ARE THERE AVAILABLE LIFE JACKETS ON BOARD? Yes, there are type 2 PFD for every passenger. Along with a couple of child size jackets. Children 6 and under must wear a life jacket while underway. No exceptions! Call us in advance if you have any special requests or concerns. The Boat also has a USCG first aid kit. 

DO I NEED TO BE ABLE TO SWIM? No, Spectre Island and the others are not Sandbars. You can get in the water if you want or walk the white sand beach.

DO I NEED TO BE PHYSCALLY FIT? Your transition off the vessel and into the waters near the islands and to and from the dock will be the most rigorous and thats not saying much. However if you have a disability in anyway that might make this transition unsafe, than this trip is not recommended for you. Your Safety is paramount.

CAN MORE THAN 6 PEOPLE CRUISE AT THE SAME TIME? United States Coast Guard mandates only 6 passengers onboard, including children. NO EXCEPTIONS! At this time we can only accommodate a max of 6 on each vessel. There are 2 Boats so we can do “tandem charters” for parties up to 18 passengers! Its a lot of fun! take the “party” to islands.

DROP OFF AND PICK UP LOCATIONS? We are located at the behind NATIVES COVE on the water. Boarding will be done right there on the dock. Please check in with the Captain upon arrival at the at the boat and DO NOT BOARD without the Captain.

ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED? YES, all ages are welcome! Its such a unique experience departing from the only Commercial Waterfront property in the City. Between the super quiet boat, beach and water, it will be hard to beat. Children age 6 and under are required to wear a life jacket while in transit. We have some on board, or you can bring your own (recommended, but it has to have a USCG approval stamp). Please let us know if you plan to bring children so that we can make the appropriate accommodations for life jackets. USCG only allows 6 passengers per boat... children are considered people too (not half people).

GROUP RESERVATIONS? If you have a party of 5-6, most of the time we recommend a private charter. There is a discount(taxes and fees included) and that includes all 6 seats & the Captain.

HOW FAST DOES THE BOAT GO? Cruisin Speed…sllloooowww enough you wont spill your drinks (its about the ride not the destination)

WHO IS MY CAPTAIN? All our Captains have been vetted and are USCG Licensed Professionals.

WHAT ARE YOUR CANCELLATION AND INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICIES? We require 7 days notice of cancellation for reasons other than inclement weather at the time of departure. Cancellations made before the 7 day deadline will be issued at full refund minus a $5 processing fee. In the event that your reservation is cancelled by management for bad weather at the time of your excursion, we will do our best to reschedule you or you may cancel at no charge at that time. We do offer the option to purchase a Trip Insurance for 12% of the subtotal that will allow you the option to cancel or Modify your reservation up to 48 Hrs in advance. Cancellations made with fewer than 7 days notice or no-shows with out the trip insurance will not be eligible for a refund. Unfortunately, we are not able to refund guests for every illness, family emergency, death in the family, delayed flight, or unexpected crisis that may occur. We reserve the right to cancel any tour at any time due to weather, safety, mechanical or behavioral issues.For weather related issues, we may "wait out" a brief shower, reschedule for another day during your stay, or refund if unable to reschedule. "NO SHOWS" will NEVER be refunded or rescheduled!

REFUNDS & PARTIAL REFUNDS? If the Capts need to cancel the trip or cut the trip short because of inclement weather you will be eligible for a prorated refund if you trip was terminated before the “halfway mark”. If it was longer than that, there will be no refunds. Our peak season weather is very fickle and forecasts can be very unreliable, as such we have come up with the policies to be as fair to all as possible.

PENALTY FEE? There are only 2…. 1) You get bodily fluids on the vessel. Where the Captain has to clean it up (150$ fine) 2) while at Spectre Island, if you do not make it back to the Boat in time for departure back to the dock. You will be assessed a $500 fine, because you will be delaying the trip booked after yours.

DO YOUR BOATS OPERATE IN THE RAIN? We do operate in the rain as the boats have a substantial roof. However, the captain can decide at anytime to cancel due to conditions (typically high winds or thunder storms). If you are unable to reschedule and still want to go on one of our cruises, the captains may under certain conditions, go out to if they can keep the cruise in calmer conditions.

SHOULD I TIP MY CAPTAIN? Our Captains do work for tips, so gratuity is greatly appreciated. We suggest a 18-20% gratuity (per seat or charter) based on the service you get. They are very experienced, knowledgeable, and your safety is paramount! Given what we are about, we searched high and low for the most well rounded, charming and professional Captains in town.

HOW LONG IS THE TOUR? 1.5HR Sunset that will cruise on the Santa Rosa Sound to watch the sunset over the Sound Islands. The 3HR Trip will depart from the dock, sail through the harbor and out to Spectre Island which is approximately 15 mins and you will be able to disembark.

WHAT CAN THE BOAT BE USED FOR? Besides relaxing with a cold drink we can pretty much accommodate anything you had in mind. Photos Shoots, Bachelor/ Bachelorette parties, corporate meetings, birthday parties, weddings, Proposals and even your “wedding escape” from a waterfront property... you name it and we will try to make it work. Give us a call for special requests.

CAN I PLAY MY OWN MUSIC ON BOARD? Yes, we do have bluetooth-capable 4 speaker system that can sync to your phone and choice of music. However if you do not have a private charter, we ask that your selection of music is considerate of those around you.

DO YOU PROVIDE FOOD AND DRINK? We provide an ice filled Cooler, cups/shot glasses, bottle openers and bottled water, bluetooth stereo, floating dock, and electric pump if you want to fill your own floaty up. For food and alcohol, feel free to bring your own or you can order some from any of the food trucks on property.

WHAT ABOUT RESTROOMS? Our boats are NOT equipped with restrooms. We strongly encourage you to use the restroom before leaving the dock. So please do NOT drink more than you are able to "hold" while on your tour!

ARE DOGS ALLOWED? Service Dogs are allowed only on a Private Charter. A service animal is per regulation: any dog that has been trained to perform tasks to benefit an individual. The performed task must be directly related to the individual’s disability. According to the ADA, service animals for emotional support, therapy, comfort or companionship are not considered service animals. The guest requiring the service animal must be in possession of the animal at all times. Due to the nature of our Spectre Island Excursions, the guest and the service animal may be required to remain on the vessel for the entirety of the trip. This is to ensure the guests’ safety as well as that of the the service animal, Destin wildlife, other guests, & Captain and Crew.
